Laminated glass

PROMAGLAS®-F1-30 is a type of laminated glass consisting of ESG-glass panes, between which a layer of fire resistant gel is placed. In case of fire it represents highly efficient insulation that prevents inflammation of flammable materials on the side opposite of the fire.

It is necessary to request and comply with the “Additional requirements and instructions for transport, installation and storage”. It is not possible to test fire resistance of the glass itself. Tests must be performed on the glazed assembly. The glazed assembly is described in detail in the official classification report.

PROMAGLAS®-F1-30 is used for fire resistant glazing of EI 30 fire resistance class as well as in fire resistant finishes EI 30-C. PROMAGLAS®-F1-30 enables new methods of construction, which cannot be realized with the conventional multilayer fire resistant glass. By using ESG-glass high safety requirements are met.

The execution in the described version consists of two panes of ESG-glass of 6 mm thickness and a layer of gel of 12 mm. Both, the thickness of ESG-glass and the thickness of the gel layer can change independently of each other, and depending on fire-technical or static requirements. This gives the possibility of optimum execution of glass depending on the application and requirements. Minimum thickness of ESG-glass is 5 mm, and of the gel layer 12 mm. Instead of ESG-glass it is also possible to put VSG-glass.

The glass is made according to the order, and subsequent processing is not possible. The ratio between the length and the width can amount to maximally 10:1, maximum weight of the glass pane is 400 kg.
